The 2018 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks are not the only vehicles that are having the issue. Over 1,800 vehicles along with the 2018 Dodge Journey SUV also gets to be a part of the recall.
So… what is the problem?
The backup camera could possibly stop working while you are backing up potentially resulting in a crash.
It is easy to see how this could cause major issues and Ram is jumping on top of it.
How will they fix the recall?
Dealers will replace the rear view mirror for free. Owners of potentially affected vehicles will start to be notified on August 3rd, 2018. Although it would be good idea to get ahead of it now.
