It is alive… Here are the first real photos of the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country Trim. These photos were taken at a media briefing in Detroit, Michigan and show off many of the truck’s new features. This three quarter ton is shown in the Havana Brown Metallic that has similar to other Silverado browns that we have seen before.
Many truck enthusiasts were relieved to see this ‘High Country’ trim revealed after the first render of the ‘Custom’ trim. This grille has a more crowd favorable look with lots of chrome that match the accents around the truck. We also see a flatter but familiar version of the rectangle shaped step bars on the 2020HD Silverado.
The Silverado Bed Step.. whether you like it, or think it is a complete disaster, the step proves to be extremely useful. It also takes away General Motor’s need to add the electric step bars that swing around to the bed seen on High Country and Denali models.
Love it or hate it, one thing we do know is that this new Duramax diesel is powerful and massive. The Silverado will come in five different trims including the Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country (shown here). The 6.6 Duramax Diesel pushes out 910 pound-feet of torque and is paired with the new 10-speed Allison Transmission whose badges sit together on the hood. Above on the roof, you get a glimpse of the new cab lights as well. Which seem to be more appropriate and rectangular than the the previous model.
